Hey everyone, I’m having a weird problem when attempting to export a short 10 min vid.

Ive made lots and lots of these in the past, output to H264, 720 x1080, rate capped at 10k, and the file size is in the 600-700 mb range. Made a custom setting in compressor that ive used for years.

Now, all of a sudden, compressor is telling me the vid is going to be 60 GIGS.

Its not an issue with IN and Out points in FCP, I moved them to make a 6 or 7 min bit but compressor estimates it to be 47 gigs, so the right In and Out points are being recognized. (its not trying to export the entire timeline or anything.) Thsi makes me think its an issue with Compressor, but no settings have been changed.

Has anyone come across this problem? Was there an auto update that happened that changed something?

Using FCP 7 if that helps any. 🙁

I’ll try to provide any extra info thats requested.

    Thanks ahead of time,

    Tim

    [Tim Baker] “H264, 720 x1080, “
    That’s not an standard size.

[Tim Baker] “rate capped at 10k”
    10K?
Do you mean 10Mb? 10K is not data rate enough for nothing, even for plain audio.

    Which is your media size?
What do you wan’t to do? YouTube?

Unless it actually creates a 60gb file I wouldn’t worry about it.

I will say that 720×1080 is a very obscure frame size though, which could be throwing it off.
