    Hi
I want to make a h264 from a qt straight out of my fcp timeline.i made a quicktime movie preset. so: quicktime movie.h264 frame rate 25 key frames automatic, compressor quality medium, multi pass on.in the third tab (frame controls) you can choose to deinterlace and a bumch of other stuff. I have this whole checkbox switched off. Jet it makes prograssive h264 movies? If i use the same settings using quicktime instead of comressor it works fine? can someone please explain. thanx

I’m not sure if this is the answer, but if you turn ON Frame Controls – in the Resizing control you’ll see a selection of Top & bottom fields in Output Fields. Try setting that to Upper (for PAL) and see if it makes an interlaced output. I know that if you’re resizing the image you’ll get much better (if slower) results with Frame Controls on and the Resize Filter set to Better or Best.
