I am using the Tascam FW-1082 with FCP 5. Works great 90% of the time. I still have some sync problems, i.e. audio IN sync with FW-1082 selected but video lags about 6 frames when DV output (to a GV-D100) selected. So I cannot easily layback my edit. Still working this one out. Other than that, it works as long as you go easy with the firewire configuration. Like any new technology, it takes a lot of trial and error and learning curve to work it out.

Now don’t even get me started about Soundtrack Pro!

Sorry. It was a bad firewire dub of some clips which put the project out of sync. Approval rating up to 99% now.
