FCP capturing extra footage
Using Kona 2, dual 2.7 G5, capturing 10 bit uncompressed:
We set an in and out, and either log the clip or hit the Clip button to capture the shot, and Final Cut captures the shot, then keeps rolling past the out point, capturing extra footage. It doesn’t always capture the same amount, sometimes 9 seconds, sometimes 15. It’s not an issue of handles because it happens when we use the Clip capture button as well as batch capture.
I have trashed prefs, but it’s still happening. Next call is to AJA to see if it could be a driver issue, but wanted to get this out into the cow cloud as well.
