I opened a FCP 6 project (done several months ago) consisting of simple clips. Everytime I try to move the playhead over the clip the rotating rainbow bullseye appears and turns and turns and turns for a good two-three minutes. I try to go back, the output sputters and once again the rotating bullseye starts to churn and churn.

What’s going on? How do I solve this? Is there a solution?

I prefer to call it the rotating beach ball of death.

Is your system running smoothly otherwise? Have you done your Pro Apps updates?

Everything else works VERY well…I have set the system to accept and install all updates….

All of my other FCP projects run great….very smoothly…super fast…

    Sheesh…rotating beach ball of death…now that’s a good one!
