FCP Browser Settings
My apologies up front for asking for help on such a simple question but I’m just tired of reading manuals and help screens. My crossed eyes must be overlooking the obvious.
I’m capturing clips for a project. In the capture window under “logging” settings I fill in the “Description”, “Scene” and “Shot/Take” sections. However in the Browser window the “Scene” and the “Shot/Take” information does not show up in the respective columns. I know if I check the box next to these items in the logging window this information will appear in the “Name” column of the Browser window but that’s not what I want.
What have I missed? Do I have to check or click something to make this information appear in the “Scene” and “Shot/Take” columns of the Browser window?

In your browser, right-click (or control+click if you don’t have a two-button mouse) on any one of the column headers. A drop-down will appear. At the bottom will be a bunch of things that say “Show X”, “Show Y”, with “X” and “Y” being actual column headers. Pick the ones that are missing, and they should be added to your browser window. You have to be right in that skinny rectangle with the text that says “Media Start”, or whatever one you choose.
You’ll have to do it for each one you want to add. I don’t think you can select multiple headings when you do this. But I could be wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time!

debe thanks for the quick response. That isn’t exactly my problem. The columns for “Shot” and “Scene/Take” are showing up in the Browser window there’s just no information in the columns.
