fcp auto select
I am using fcp 6.0.5. I have media on v1. And I want to copy paste it on v2. I option click v2 auto select and then copy paste the clip. It’s getting pasted on v2. But second time I am doing it [when auto select is already on v2] it’s not happening. I have to press auto select on v2 again and again before each copy paste. Which is irritating and time consuming. Is there a way out?

Hi Krishnendu,
This is just the way FCP works. I’ve mapped my keyboard so that the main number keys (the ones at the top of the keyboard) toggle auto-select for each corresponding track – so pressing ‘1’ toggles V1, ‘2’ toggles V2 etc.
The number keys on the right of the keyboard still work seperately for timecode entry etc.All the best,
