FCP audio turns red, won’t play!
I am really frustrated with FCP X. I was totally happy making movies on Premiere, but my professor insisted that we had to learn this crap since it was the industry standard.
I just opened my project and most of my audio clips are highlighted in red over the lower third and won’t play. Most of them, but not all of them, which is weird. I saved all the project and event files in the same place on my hard drive.
Do I need to relink them? I’m not getting the yellow exclamation point box, just this red line. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.

Are the clips available in the event browser?
Also, try changing your playback settings in your preferences. If use proxy media is selected, use original, or vice versa. Does that help?
