FCP audio changing by itself
Hi,
I’m new to FCP 7, usually edit on Avid. I’m having an issue when I edit a clip onto my timeline, a render bar pops up and all the audio underneath and around that red line goes wacky,,,meaning it turns up a different channel of audio. I render the timeline, and the audio still remains gained up on the wrong channels. After this happens, I have no control over the levels. Is there a button I hit by accident?

update: I think part of the problem is when I edit timeline to timeline. I load my source timeline to my viewer. I set the ins and outs there and then drop onto my sequence. I think I need to edit copy and paste from original timeline to final timeline. Then the original clips show up with the poster frames and I don’t have any strange audio and rendering issues. It’s a learning process for me!
