I have been using a PC to offload my p2 cards in the field. I have the NTFS drives back in the edit but i cannot transfer all of the files to quick time. If a given folder has 5 clips only 4 show up in the log and trans window. For every contents folder i have there is always one or two mxf files thaat are missing. its like fcp doesnt see them.

i have double checked that the files arent corrupt. contents folder was never changed and has the lastclip file with it.

i have done a fresh install of fcp and quicktime. going to try reinstalling the operating system next.

called apple and they are saying that it is the ntfs file system. but the computer reads the drives fine. have read of others using this workflow and it works for them. my test had it working.

    any ideas.

For chuckles and grins see if P2 Logger Pro can see the clips.

Could be anything. What happens when you copy a file to an HFS disk, and then try importing it?

May want to try loading MacDrive on your PC, then mounting a Mac drive on the PC then copy the media to the Mac formatted drive, unmount from PC and try back on the Mac. You could also try file sharing via SAMBA services over Ethernet.

Is it possible that FCP is seeing two spanned clips as one? Have you tried importing all the files you can from a contents folder and seeing if all the footage is there?
