    hi guys,

i am running a nano flash on the back of my Sony PMW 350k and am having problems getting results. i have done tests recording at 50 / 100 / 180 mbps, but when i bring these files into FCP they do 2 things…

    1. the images look identical
    2. the ‘item properties’ says that’s it’s been recorded at 50mpbs for all of them

any ideas what’s going on? i feel it should be something simple, but i just can’t put my finger on it. i am importing the nano flash files off the cards (using a usb card reader) then into my computer and then ‘importing’ the files directly into FCP. is something happening during this process?

i am running final cut pro 7. cheers for your time! col

“XDCAM HD-422 50Mbps is the official name of the codec. In the QT Info window you can see the real data-rate.
