  FCP and MOTU

  Good morning, all.

  I’m looking at the new MOTU 828mkIII interface. I need to ingest 4 channels of audio from my BVW70 into a KNOA LH (Sorry, not a SDI deck – that would be all too easy). I have a current work around using a IOLA for the 4 channels of audio and the LH for the video (Issue with the IOLA video working). The coolest thing is that it’s a firewire interface, so I can take on the road for a project and work off my laptop or as a standalone (I think it can interface directly to a Firewire drive and ingest with out a computer)

  So since I need to do this on a regular basis for a project, any ideas as to if or how this work. In theory, it should, just like using as USB Pre or the IOLA for audio, but I’m wondering if I’ll run into a issue when mastering.
