fcp and importing footage
with the panasonic hvx200 at 720p and 24fps or 30fps.
we log n transfer and fcp reads the footage as 960 x 720. so when it exports into AE it looks wrong.
are we missing somethin?i my mac.

DVacPRao HD is an anamorphic format. Vertically squeezed. This is normal.

Then am I missing something when I export or render? Cus if I export a still image for a screenshot it comes out as 960 not 1280, and in sequence settings in fcp the footage is seen as 960 not 1280.

Again, this is an anamorphic format. 1280×720 is squeezed to 960×720. FCP and other NLEs unsqueeze it in the program while you work with it. There should be some setting in AE to do the same thing.
