FCP and FCE Rendering problem
Hey, When rendering files in Pro and Express final cut is rendering some seemingly random glitched frames into the video, they’re half grey and half negative frames, sometimes in blocks of two or 3 frames which come up as flashes when the final thing is played (here’s an example of a short video I made with the ‘flashes’ in, if you can manage to somehow pause on one of these bad frames, you’ll see what I mean about the grey/negative effect
https://www.pinkbike.com/video/126611/ ).Whats odd is that the actual footage looked back at, with quicktime only, not in FC, is perfect, frame by frame, there’re no problems with any of the frames. However when played in quicktime, its goes massively laggy and glitchy. Same for when you play the files back in the video preview in FC, very laggy, jumpinbg through frozen frames. As I said, the frames are all there, the footage seems to be fine, its just the apple or the programmes. I’ve got 2gb of ram, and when I do any video editing I make sure nothing other than the version of final cut I’m using at the time is open. I’ve edited the same frame rate/file type and quality off the same camera before without even the slightest hint of a problem. I noticed it on some new footage I shot, and now all my footage plays back and renders like that. Does anyone have ANY idea whats going on? I’m a poor student and stumped up a heap of money for my apple and software, just a bit gutted its going wrong not even a year in. 🙁 Cheers, Olly
I’m learning, very very slowly!
