  • FCP and Compressor – creating two files?

When I export to compressor and choose a profile I find that I get the little yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in it. When I pass my cursor over it I get the tool tip: “This target will overwrite an existing file with the same name. To preserve the existing file change the destination or change the name of the output file.”

1)The destination is a separate drive.
2)The output name is unique to every file – without fail.

Does compressor go into ‘shock’ when a codec is multipass?

    Puzzled and flustered,

    Lawrence

have you tried changing the name within compressor? Just add the number 1 to the end of the name and the mark should go away…
