    Hey Folks.

I am trying to edit-to-tape from Final Cut to Sony Betacam SP 1800 through Aja Io. The deck is giving me the message “no input” after few seconds when playing out. The audio is been recorded on to the tape, but no vision whatsoever.
I have updated the drivers and I am able to capture from the deck without any issues, what for me indicates that the system should be all fine. I have G5 with FCP6.

Any ideas? I should get these SP tapes done within next two days…

    Thanks a million!

Have you chosen an AJA easy setup?

Are your cables hooked up properly (cue Bob Zelin)?

Do you have drviers and firmware updates for the AJA io?

Is the video output set to All frames in FCP?

    (…and go! for Bob Zelin)

Beta UVW 1800. Front panel INPUT selector should be in Y Pb Pr, not S-Video or Composite Video Input.

If this is set correctly, take the video output of your AJA I/O (you know, the cables that are going to the INPUT of your Beta 1800), and stick them into your TV monitor ? Do you see a picture? No picture, when you bypass your Beta 1800 ? Go to VIEW>External Video and make sure you are set for ALL FRAMES, and not OFF, because this will give you no picture. Once you see a picture on your TV from the AJA I/O output, you can plug them back into your Beta VTR, and go back to work.
