FCP 7/Mavericks Troubleshooting (Playback is looping)
Hello, I am a video editor for a production company in Boston. Recently we upgraded our OS to Mavericks and we are still running FCP 7 for the time being. Our IT person set it up so that we have dual operating systems in order to get used to Mavericks and work through any issues. With that said, we have one main issue when I launch FCP 7 in Mavericks. FCP 7 starts up and loads fine, but when I hit play on anything the audio plays through and the video loops in 1 sec increments until I hit stop. Happens every time. Does anyone know what the deal may be? Has anyone had experience with this? Plugins maybe? Trying to get everything running smooth on Mavericks for the time being. We will probably be making a jump to Premiere in the near future but need to iron this out for right now. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
