FCP 7.0.3 very slow to start, is it a full HDD?
Hi there,
On a recent Quad Mac Pro, 16GB RAM, and having problems opening FCP. My project takes minutes, about 5 in all, to open! The project size is only 19MB.
One of my internal drives is a 7200 2TB with only 82GB free. It’s not being written to, just has most of my rushes (prores 1080p) on it.
My scratch disk has 900GB free and my system drive 50GB.
Everything was fine when my rushes were on a firewire external 2TB but now I’ve copied them internally to SATA – opening FCP has become a problem.
Any recommends?

Repair permissions, trash FC preferences and if that doesn’t works, run DiskWarrior.
