I’m trying to capture footage in FCP 7 from a Canon XH A1, but it’s not being recognized.
I’ve tried using both a 4 pin to 9 pin firewire, and 4 pin to 6 pin firewire, but neither works.
    Computer:
    Mac Pro
    MacPro1, 1
    Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    2.66 GHz

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Model Name: Mac Pro

Final Cut Pro 7, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Did you choose an HDV Easy Setup?

Hey did you get it working? I have the same camera but use Fcp 6. I’ve found that I have to turn the camera on first, and with the heads still engaged, then start FCP. If I turn the camera on after fcp has loaded, it won’t recognize the camera. If the heads disengage before I load fcp, it also won’t recognize. Just one of those things…
