    Hi there,

I have sourced footage from youtube, which I have placed on my timeline alongside footage from my DSLR Camera. Both have been converted with the use of MPEG Streamclip into Apple Pro Res 422 HQ.

However once my youtube clip is placed alongside my DSLR footage it appears as un-rendered, meaning that I have to render the footage it each time.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with this issue?
    Many thanks,

Right click on the problem track, copy down all the video properties it has and report back.

Converting to ProRes is one thing…but what are the dimensions? The dimensions as well as the codec need to exactly match. And FCP works best with broadcast dimensions…so 1920×1080, 1280×720, 740×480. If your footage is like 960×540 or some other number…you’ll need to redo the conversion. Convert the codec and the frame size.

    720×480 or 720×486

Changing my dimensions from 960×540 to 1920×1080 has completely resolved the issue.
Thank you very much for your help,
    Kind Regards
