FCP 7 Timecode Window and Edit to Tape
I have yet to try out FCP 7 and was wondering if anyone could comment on whether or not the new Timecode Window will display deck timecode when doing layoffs or captures? I found that this was always a feature Final Cut should offer, but once you hit record (whether capturing or laying off) you can no longer see your running deck timecode.

Sorry, but no. It only displays timecode when playing from the timeline.

If you are capturing on a deck that can display a timecode over image, then patch that to your external monitor while you capture.
