Weird problems over the last week or so…and they make me want to cry… a lot.

    1. I had an FCP Project File disappear with no trace of it’s existence. 🙁 Is there a known bug that I didn’t see in the Forums?

    2. I was working on a project, left for about 3 hours with the FCP 7 project still open (Motion 3 was still open as well) , came back and my media files from Motion 3 were no longer connected to the FCP project file. When I tried to reconnect the file it couldn’t be located. I tried finding the file through Finder and I still had no luck. It was as if I had never made the file in the first place. I found the render files from the night’s “auto render” and they too showed the red screen of horror! At second glance of the Media file that FCP showed to be disconnected….it was renamed while I was gone. It was named ” 1_g1 “….that file could not be found either. I really don’t think someone came to my computer and renamed it. So I’m hoping there is another theory.

I’ve read some older posts about Render files disappearing due to the auto-render & a bug through Finder … do you think that Auto Render could have anything to do with these lost Media files? Does FCP NEED Finder to function properly? Might this be a bug with Finder rather than FCP or Motion?

    Any thoughts?
