FCP 7, Motion 4 and transparency
We have 4 MacPros connected to a Terrablock server. I created a Motion template in one machine using Motion 4.03 and saved the template on the server. All the machines share the server for their templates, so the template appears in the FCP 7 Master Templates in all the edit bays. The alpha channel and transparency show up fine on 3 machines, but the third sees no transparency. You don’t see any transparency in either the master template in FCP or if you open the template directly in Motion.
Does anyone know why the alpha channel works in some computers, but not on another? I’ve checked all the settings, and I’m unable to find anything different. The problem computer is an older Intel Mac- 1,1 but I don’t see how that would make any difference.
