FCP 7 Media Management: Strange Reconnect Error
Hi,
I am trying to media mange a large 2k project and something very strange is happening. My media management is set to copy and I have set it to delete unused media from duplicated clips. When the media management is complete the quicktime files that are created contain no video.
I’ve done various tests. I’ve exported an xml of 5 mins and then media manage from a new project with the xml sequence and i have the same problem.
I’ve never encountered this before!
I need to get the film out to my colour corrector and to reconnect to our original RED footage.
If you have any insight I would love any suggestion!

could be thay are simply missing the .mov extension.
i have seen this happen.a batch re-name utility will be able to fix all the files at once.

so where does the media management come into this?
i think it will just make what you need to do harder.
reconnecting alll those smaller media managed files (with the weird names) will be harder to reconnect that single compete filesnick
