FCP 7 FXPlug Plug-Ins have all suddenly disappeared
I opened FCP today to continue working on a project I’ve been working on for several weeks and 90% of my added plug-ins are missing. I checked my hard drive and every plug in located at “Library>Application Support>Final Cut Pro System Support>Plugins” is showing up just fine. However, all of my FXPlug plug-ins located at “Library>Plug Ins>FX Plug” are NOT showing up. I can see them in the folder, but they do not show up in FCP. I tried trashing preferences – but that didn’t help.
Should I re-install FCP?
Any thoughts on what I could try next would be appreciated. Thanks.

In FCP select from your Menu Effects/Effect Availability/All Effects

I wish it were that simple, but no, All Effects is selected and still none of my FXPlug items are showing up. Those that I turned into “Favorites” are showing up in that folder but if I try to apply any of them I get the red screen with the error “Unable to load effect”.
