Is there a way to get the old FCP 7 Frame blending in FCPX? It has nothing to do with slowing clips down, is just blended fames before and after into the current frame.

    Thanks, Mark

Can you elaborate? Frame blending is a option used as part of retiming vs none or optical flow. All of which are options in the Retiming Editor. If you’re looking for a kind of transition give more details.

If you ever used FCP7 you would see that Frame blending option works differently that in the current version.

I went to After Effects for the effect. Wide Time in AE is the same as the old Frame blessing in FCP, i was just hoping it was built into the new FCP.

I’m not sitting in front of a computer I can check on but I’m fairly certain Motion has a wide time effect. If it does what you need, you could publish that as an effect back to FCPX.
