FCP 7 Filters Require Rendering?
I recently upgraded to FCP 7.0. I quickly noticed that as soon as I add any sort of filter to a clip, even the color correction tools, the clip immediately requires render when I’m in safe mode. If I switch to Unlimited RT, the clip still shows up with the orange bar on top and will not play back smoothly. The sequence settings match the original footage. What’s going on? I have 12 GB of Ram and and my video card is an ATY RadeonX1900 and my VRAM is 512 mb. What am I missing? I’ve trashed my preferences, which didn’t fix the problem. I’d really appreciate the help!

Do you have an OUTPUT to Broadcast Video?
If yes, I had a similar problems and was just need
to change in the menu –>View –> Export Video –>> Correct Resolution.I know that is too basic, but sometimes it is just what is in front our eyes. 🙂
