FCP 7 keeps “quitting unexpededly” when I try to do anything “complicated” like add a freakin’ filter to my footage. Don’t know what’s going on there. I just installed the upgrade straight to this computer which previously didn’t have FCP at all. Do I need to install FCP 6 first?

Did you run Apple>>Software Update afterwards until it told you that all your software was up to date? If not, that’s your problem, as FCP ver. 7.0 was loaded with glitches.
