    FCP 7…

Place a title crawl using boris in PAL. Boris does no interlacing. Makes the crawl unreadable in interlaced PAL. Tried shift fields filter… which did nothing since the fields are not inverted – there are no fields – as in boris creates the crawl in progressive.

And I did download the boris 2.2 update – it did not solve this issue.

Any ideas? I ended up re-doing the crawls in FCP 6.

I can repeat this on my machine, FCP7, NTSC. It’s weird.
    Anyone talked to Boris yet?

Boris says it’s an issue with final cut and apple is working on it.

I’ve got the same interlacing problem with the Boris Title Crawl in Final cut 7. I end up making my crawls in Premiere and export it to FCP.

Has anybody got news from apple about this problem?

Or are there any easier workarounds?

    Thanks for your answers.

take rasertization off on the FC controls. that will do the trick with this borris scrolling text. also color is good rather than just white on black text. that creates too much contrast espeecially if the text is thin.
