January 15, 2013 at 10:07 pmThe source file is a ecamm call recorder Quicktime file. I’d like to use it just as I would any other file in FCP 7.

June 13, 2013 at 3:40 amI’m having the same problem – used compressor and apple prores422 on two separate clips recorded from Skype via Ecamm Recorder.
But keep getting “General Error” once I bring it into FCP and render all.
For some reason the frame rate of one clip came in at 8fps, another at 14.99 fps, and the original quicktime .movs at 10fps.
Is there a better conversion via compressor or do I need to change settings in Ecamm recorder?
For our test we did the first clip (that came into FCP as 8fps) with remote record only and the second clip (that came in at 14.99 fps) as advanced multi-track…I just know we can make this work, but how?

June 13, 2013 at 3:48 amOh, and we recorded audio compressed to AAC rather than choosing the (unfamiliar to us) uncompressed or 2:1 compression options.
