FCP 7 and OS 10.5
Have people been using FCP 7 in OS 10.5? Problems? Preference for 10.5.6, 10.5.8?
I’m planning to upgrade to FCP 7 from FCP 5.1 and am in OS 10.4.1 right now. Can’t go to 10.6 because of some incompatibilities with other apps on computer. Will go on Macpro laptop 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. No video hardware connected right now, only audio interface. Have been experimenting with capturing video from my old system (G4, Aurora, uncompressed 8 bit), moving to laptop system. Not ready to buy new video interface just now. (Don’t do this for a living but for personal projects.)

Maybe I should mention that FCP 4.5 on old system (since I’d be using clips captured there).

Running FCP 7.0.1 on OS 10.5.8 and QT 7.6.2. No problems. I will NOT be upgrading to Snow Leopard either.

We run 10.5.8 on all our systems with FCS 3.
