FCP 7 and HDMI output
Posted by Michael Bigda on October 31, 2013 at 1:51 pmQuick question. Does FCP 7 work well with playing video with an HDMI output? What should my settings be to play it out of a HDMI output?

October 31, 2013 at 3:35 pmWhat do you mean HDMI output – it depends on your monitoring system. We work with Aja kona LHI and 3G and the HDMI output is flawless. If you have got a HDMI output with your breakout box then it is fine.
cheers

October 31, 2013 at 4:49 pmHi Michael,
what breakout box do you use?
Settings depend on your FCP settings. If you use SD, you set your settings in SD with HDMI, if you use HD you use your timeline settings in HD, for example interlaced, progressive, etc. I would go for 8 bit, but this depends on your breakout box and your monitor.cheers
