  • FCP 7 and adding 10 frame slugs or black between each of my mutiple edits

    Hi there all.

I wondered if anyone knew of a quick way in FCP 7 to add 10 frame black/Slug between each of my many edits it is for a showing and for a separate editor.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Kindest regards

    Sean

The trouble is i need to add it between every edit…Not just one.
    That would be fairly simple…
So do I have to individually add a slug or black or edge forward every edit one by one?
Surely there is an easier way?

LOL! David is right, this is not really what FCP is built to do, but I think I might know a slightly faster method.
Build a 10 frame slug in the viewer. Insert it (F9) into the timeline where you want the first one. Down arrow key to advance to the next edit. F9. Continue till done, or fingers cramp. 😉
As David said, this is a pretty fast process. Should take less time than it took to reply to this post.

Yes the client wanted parsing…between every edit. The reason? No idea it is crazy I agree. But I think he wanted a pause between each shot to gather the energy of it. However thanks Eric that really helps and thankyou to all you replied.
