  • FCP 6.0.5-out of sync after capture

Posted by Tommaso Cicognani on February 5, 2009 at 9:05 am

hi all, I got a problem when I capture (with capture now) a mini dv from my sony hvr-m15j deck.
The file fcp creates is out of sync or,better, some parts of it are out of sync. This happens only when I capture an entire cassette.
    How can I sove it?
    thanks

Log and capture. Don’t use capture now.

    I made a test:
I try to capture it also with premiere pro cs4 but the problem still persists.
Is is possible that the problem is in the cassette (minidv),in the deck or a drop frame that shift me audio and video.
I got the same problem 2 month ago…

I have indeed found that there are some codec problems that are causing sync issues in FCP 6.05 when working with DV footage. I was able to use PPro CS4 for the projects with the miniDV footage with no issues at all however.
