    FCP 6.0 software

    I am starting a show and I only have 5.1 software.
    The producer has offered to buy 6.0 to share, is this possible and if so do I need to know anything about getting tracked and in trouble for this? I heard that apple has really cracked down on sharing FCP with anyone who is not registered owner

    Please advise = thank you for your help

    If the software is not owned by you or the company you work for, you should not use it.

    Also, you cannot run FCP 5.1 and 6.0 on the same system unless you install a second hard drive. FCP will wipe out 5.1 so you will not be able to use your legal copy of it any longer.

    Best to upgrade yourself and use the money from this project to pay for the software.
