FCP 6 timeline problem
Hi,
I recently installed FCP 6 and have the following problem:
when I delete something on the timeline, the whole lot that follows moves up (which results in losing synch, overwriting…). It’s driving me mad. In the past I would just have an empty space.
How can I solve this?

Use the Backspace Key on your keyboard, not the small Delete key.

It’s actually a handy dandy thing when you know it works that way.
Backspace to delete and leave a hole.
Delete to delete and close the gap.

you can combine those delete key uses with locking certain tracks for more flexibility and moving things around…
