    Crew,

FCP 6 is consistently shutting down my computer (G5 – OSX10.4.11) during a render. Have rebooted, cleared memory, cleared timelines and it’s been a stubborn problem.

Any idea if there is an “update” or some cache I could empty? Why it’s getting hung up?

Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

Does this happen when rendering a particular plug-in, or brand of plug-in?? I’ve been having a crash problem with a certain effect if stacked on a clip longer than 30-60 seconds. The work around I’ve found for this is to render a small chunk, hit escape, save, render, repeat…. Pain in the ass, I know, but works and the effect is very cool.
