Oh one more thing to note about video from Flip cameras, it sends to be vary shaky if it was filmed hand held, so you may need to use the motion stabilizer on it.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

Using MPEG Streamclip, make sure you select that you want to Export to QuickTime…, then select the DV Compression. Do not select Export to DV… That option is for iMovie.

    Hi, Elizabeth

If you’re not comfortable with MPEG Streamclip–a marvelous AND free program–there is an alternative. You can simply drag your Flip clips onto your QuickTime Player and File>Export>Movie to DV Stream or Movie to QuickTime Movie (and then select Options>Video: Settings>Compression Type:DV/DVPRO-NTSC).

Ah, good ol’ QT. 6 or 7 should open these 3IVX files.

We did get as far as using Clipstream last session, but it seems that I didn’t have the Export specs well in hand.
Thanks to all for the thoughts.
