May 27, 2009 at 4:22 amUsing MPEG Streamclip, make sure you select that you want to Export to QuickTime…, then select the DV Compression. Do not select Export to DV… That option is for iMovie.

May 27, 2009 at 3:14 pmHi, Elizabeth
If you’re not comfortable with MPEG Streamclip–a marvelous AND free program–there is an alternative. You can simply drag your Flip clips onto your QuickTime Player and File>Export>Movie to DV Stream or Movie to QuickTime Movie (and then select Options>Video: Settings>Compression Type:DV/DVPRO-NTSC).

May 27, 2009 at 4:31 pmAh, good ol’ QT. 6 or 7 should open these 3IVX files.
We did get as far as using Clipstream last session, but it seems that I didn’t have the Export specs well in hand.
Thanks to all for the thoughts.Elizabeth
