    Hi All,

I’m thinking of upgrading to the new Final Cut Studio and wanted to see i anyone has experienced any issues that I should be aware of with the Io and/or Kona3.

    I have two suites:
    MacPro w/ AJA Io & Kona3 Card
    Mac G5 w/ AJA Io

    Both Run Final Cut 5

Thanks any heads up on problems or issues.

    Mucho Thanks,

You should read through the post on either board. If there are issues there would have been asked and probably answered.

I do have a similar set up and still have issues with FCP6 and Kona3 with multicam playback. Works fine if I reboot to FCP5, with same hardware and files.

FCP 6 and Io working well on my system. See my earlier post about HD to SD playback.

I have both the Kona3 and a IoLA installed. The Kona3 works flawlessly for me. But the IoLA loses Firewire handshaking once in a while.

    Anyone have the same issue?

there can be nothing else on the FW bus not Fw 400, not Fw800 if you have been plugging or unplugging drives that would be an issue.

I have a B/U Firewire 800 drive plugged in, but not turned on during editing. Could that be the conflict?
