This wasn’t an issue earlier but now seems to be:

    TSCC.component

Earlier today I was able to load Final Cut with this component in the QT library.
    Now, not so much.

    Just so’s you know.

Everytime I restart my system a component that wasn’t problematic before now crashes FCP.

    Today it’s

    CineLoaderComponents.component
    CineWaveComponents.component

    Crap!

I was surprised that didn’t crash you before since CineWave stopped development before FCP 5.1 even came out. CineWave is very dead on FCP and my advice is to get away from it as quickly as possible. The AJA Kona can play CineWave material so get yourself an AJA board and throw the CineWave as far as you can heave it. I still have old Bob’s here that I might just put on display as another example of a great idea that was killed way before its time thanks to Avid.

I have the cinewave components so I can deliver graphic elements from AfterEffects in that codec. Not essential, but I have a client that likes that. Also, I’m a little concerned that every day it’s a different component that causes problems.

    Apple has acknowledged the problem.

So, on another partition I keep as back up, I did the same upgrades, have all the problematic compnents still in the Quicktime folder, and FCP works just fine….probably just till the next time I boot.

Mine is still not running. I’ve checked permissions before and after the update, checked the QT extensions, have no 3rd party plugins running, trashed prefs, reinstalled the Pro Applications Update 2006-02, reinstalled the FCP 5.1.2 update, several restarts and zapped P-ram. Any ideas?
