Great news since we just bought an XDCAM HD 330 and want to shoot with the 35Mbit VBR MPEG HD. Now (soon) we can transfer the files at 35Mbit, Sweet!

    >>EDL and Cinema Tools lists

Does this include a combined video TC and film Keycode list for DI use? Or the ability to custom design film lists to include this?

Great news and good to hear from the guys at Apple. Really looking forward to using the 35mb codec in XDCam HD natively.

Excelent news these new formats that FCP 5.1.2 now support!!

Does FCP already support Grass Valley Infinity Camera? Any idea when FCP will support it?

    Best Regards,
    Jo

    FCP does not support J2K

However I have been editing J2K on Aurora for the last few days.
    (Which is the GV NLE)

[Paul from Apple] “Our Universal Final Cut Studio crossgrade/upgrade program ENDS at the end of the year!”

I own final cut studio 5.x
what does this really mean for final cut 5.02 users?

that the 49 upgrade will be a lot more next year?

I would love to upgrade and I do own the HD100-U but I also have clients that bring in projects that need to be run through us and they are not running 5.1

Just buy the upgrade and don’t install it!
