Was this the problem when switchign from 5.0.4 to 5.1? I have heard there are problems with the switch but I have not heard what the problems are?

No, we had the problem in 5.0.4. We’ve had it from day one, actually. It was being reported by several of us. It occurred when importing 24pn footage from P2 cards. It would duplicate frames at times, resulting in a noticeable glitch. The most common was coming out of a dissolve… there was a distinctive “sticking” as it duplicated the last frame…

We were eliminating dissolves in some cases to get rid of the worst ones. Some times it would do it on a straight cut. We were checking disk array speeds and a whole host of things trying to track it down. As usual, only a few of us diehards were reporting it. It was so obvious that clients were asking about it during playback.
