FCP 5.0.4 it wont start up
here’s what happened, the FW drive was unplugged while fcp was on, i got the warning that damage could happen, it didnt it works fine on another system, however the original system must now have a currupt file or pref, when i start it up it stars to go thru the start up and just shuts down, so what can i do to reset the app, so that it will at open, what do i need to trash. thanks

The following is a nifty little program that stores and trashes prefs for you. Just be careful backing up the first time. Make sure you’re backing up clean prefs.

For the record, a search for “trash preferences” would’ve yielded this same answer much much faster for you. Sometimes it’s hard to verbalize what you need, though, making searches tough. Next time, if you’re in a hurry, try a few different searches. You may find your answer much faster.
