FCP 5.0.2, OS X 10.4.2, QT 7.0.1, BMD 5.0, Decklink Extreme Sound Problem
We are in the process of upgrading all of our edit systems to the latest OS, FCP and BMD drivers. We’ve been running these versions for a week or two on our test system (Decklink HD Pro 4:4:4) and have been satisfied so far. Hence we’re going ahead with the upgrade on our other systems. I’ve just been testing the extreme system and have dicovered a little hick-up, the audio does not pass through the analouge outputs when in log and capture. I haven’t tested this on an SDI source yet, but it definately doesn’t work when in NTSC/PAL input. It would be nice to have this ability back into the card, it captures the sound just fine, but doeesn’t allow us to monitor when capturing. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, we are doing clean installs on all our systems, so this is not an upgrade issue.

I agree, Juan
at the moment I monitor the audio from the deck but that’s not ideal if you want to work without a mixer.
It does video out, so why not audio?

I disabled the “Stable Black” output option, this has reactivated my analogue audio output from the decklink extreme.
