    Quick answer: Not easily.

    Workaround: Take 5.0 project, export as XML, import in 4.5.

    Right answer: Pay the money and upgrade!

    It’s not really a money issue. It’s more of a comfort thing. My system is sooo solid right now. The thought of screwing with such a delicate balance is not that enticing. Maybe I’ll just buy another drive and have two separate bootable configs.

    Fred, that’s the best decision you’ll make. Edit your client’s projects with FCP5, and do you stuff with FCP 4.5. Also, you will be installing everything correctly as a fresh install, instead of upgrading the OS & FCP. You will also begin to see that you don’t need to be so scared of FCP5/tiger.
