fcp 5.0 opening in 4.5
I need to open an FCP project created in 5.0 in 4.5…is there a way to do this??
I spoke with Apple tech support and they say: “once you go up…you can’t go down.”I only need a batch list from the 5.0 project so that I don’t digitize the same files twice…
please help!!!

Try an XML import from 5.0. Then import that into 4.5.
Never done it, and I hear it can be a pain, but it just might help. If it is simple 1 track video sequence I guess you could try an EDL too. But Apple is right, to the best of my knowledge you cannot open a newer version file in an older version of FCP.

i’ve been having problem swith stills that looked awesome in 4.5 looking like crap in 5.0 so, i’m investigating
going back to 4.5check this out
