FCP 5.0 crazy slow rendering and exporting !!
This new version of FCP is just driving me nuts, serioulsy thinking about switching to something else. All is a sudden, it has started to increase render times on its own, out of the blue. I am currently rendering a 15-minute clip 8 bit uncompressed and it is showing over 6 hours rendering time. It actually starts nicely, and within a few seconds the spinning wheel shows up every 2-3 seconds and the render time increases… There’s space aplenty on the HD, everything seems just fine, and my project must be done by tomorrow morning… I just don’t get what’s going on here, furthermore the computer is responding very slowly, with procs running at 24 and 43% and 4 gig of RAM available…

Ok, I’ve found out it was a corrupted Motion import file.
