    Hi everybody

I’m going Digital Betacam on monday…
I wonder what should be the settings for import ?
And for exporting with four audio tracks and a timecode starting at 01:01:00:00 ?
Should I use a tracked tape and edit to tape ?
Any other issues you would think I should know when working with digital betacam ?

    Thank you

FCP doesn’t care what format the video is, as long as you have the proper capture and sequence settings. I assume you have a 3rd party capture card. Do you want to capture uncompressed? If you want the best quality, just choose the “easy setup” from the FCP pulldown menu and choose 10 bit uncompressed NTSC (if your working with NTSC) and you should be good to go. That is also assuming you have drives that are fast enough to capture uncompressed 10 bit.

    Thank you Brian.
I am working in Pal and yes I want the best resolution. So should I use 10bit uncompressed PAl ?
