FCP 5 with device control but no video/audio
so here is a problem I have encountered (HAS device control, but capturing NO video/audio, and can’t lay off edit to tape via device control)- Running g4, 10.4.2, fcp 5.0.2, blackmagic decklink— dvx-100a via firewire- things tried: trashed prefs… restarts/reboots, easy setup dv ntsc firewire, easy setup blackmagic ntsc-dv— swapped cameras, tapes, and firewire cables— refreshed AV devices.
Is there some problem running a g4 with all the above settings that may be causing this? any help out there would be more than greatly appreciated.
