FCP 5 not seeing DV device HELP
I have searched the archives and not found a solution to this one…
I have been editing on FCP 5.01 without incident until one day… the system decides not to recognize my sony dvcam deck. I have removed all other firewire devices, 400, 800 etc, plugged direct to g4 dual, changed cables, tried my trusty camera instead, all to no avail. I did the FCP rescue remedy, I reinstalled FCP (without having uninstalled, I guess that’s next), (maybe a reinstall of QT 7 wouldn’t hurt)
any and all bright ideas welcome.
Stranded.
PS I need to edit a multicam HD project with 12 cameras -

did you try the other firewire slot in the G4. If that doesn’t work, did you try another firewire cable?
